Sustainability

Battlefield Press is committed to sustainable printing and packaging practices, using responsible materials and efficient manufacturing processes to reduce environmental impact.

Battlefield’s Environmental Commitment

At Battlefield Press, we are committed to responsible printing and manufacturing practices that comply with all applicable laws and regulations. We continually educate ourselves on sustainable printing technologies, materials, and industry innovations to reduce our environmental impact and make more responsible choices at every stage of production.

Processless Plates

Battlefield Press uses processless plates for offset printing, eliminating the chemical processing traditionally required before a plate reaches the press. This technology helps reduce water use, energy consumption and chemical waste while maintaining the consistent, high-quality print our customers expect.

Energy Efficient

Battlefield Press invests in modern, energy-efficient equipment and LED lighting to reduce energy use throughout our facility. We are able to use LED-UV curing technology, which consumes less energy than traditional mercury-based UV systems while providing precise wavelength control and consistent curing performance. This improved control helps prevent curing issues, reduce material waste and maintain reliable print quality. Because LED-UV systems are mercury-free, they also eliminate the environmental concerns and specialized disposal requirements associated with mercury lamps.

Full Recycling Program

As Battlefield handles many types of printing on a wide variety of materials. It is our upmost priority to ensure we are responsibly handling these materials. We separate our materials including corrugated, papers, plastics, styrene, APET, etc. Separating ensures the materials make it to the recycling plants and are processed appropriately.

These materials are properly identified, safely stored and collected by qualified waste-management providers for responsible recycling or disposal in accordance with applicable environmental regulations.

FSC Certified

Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certification ensures that the paper and wood-based materials used in our products come from responsibly managed forests, recycled materials and other controlled sources. These forests are managed with strict environmental, social, and economic standards that protect biodiversity, respect the rights of Indigenous communities and workers, and support long-term forest health.

For customers, FSC certification provides confidence that the materials used in their printed products are sourced responsibly and can be traced through a verified chain of custody from forest to finished product. Choosing FSC-certified materials is a simple way to support sustainable forestry practices and demonstrate a commitment to environmental responsibility.
